I saw this recently after not having seen it since it was first released. I remembered it as a sci fi film that I liked. However, after this recent viewing, what struck me was how awful the supporting cast were. Heston and Zerbe were the only decent actors in the bunch.

I thought the actors who played Lisa, Dutch, Richie and Zachary did a excellent job. Especially Rosalind Cash. I'll admit after the those 4 and the Neville and Mathias everybody else was window dressing. Anthony Zerbe better be riveting in his role cause he is the catalyst in the movie. Charlton Heston was "The Omega Man" he better be a stand out. Which of course he always is.

So we'll agree to disagree. I thought all of the characters you name were just awful. At this point in Hestons career, Soylent Green and Planet of the Apes were far better films with far better supporting casts.
