Why would she 1 - hide from him; 2 - kidnap him at gunpoint?

This makes absolutely no sense to me. Anyone who's alive would welcome seeing anyone who's also alive. And it would be clear to anyone that someone who's not albino with those freaky eyes is ALIVE and therefore an ally. All he'd have to do is say, "hey, you're alive, I'm alive, you don't need a gun!"

The whole rescue thing was dumb, a clumsy way to introduce the other living people, and completely unnecessary.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I understand what you mean. It seems the answer might be when she referred to him shooting everything that moves.

Can't trust everyone. Figure amongst the survivors there maybe racist, pedophiles, serial killers, etc. Coming across someone new is a good way to get your head blown off I suppose until you get them sorted out.

Terrible things Lawrence. You've done terrible things.

Eh, thanks, but I don't buy it. When there's absolutely no one left, you'd be surprised at how fast stuff like that goes away. Plus, he'd get out all of his serial killer tensions by blowing away the Family.

She had no idea what kind of person Neville was.

He was also different from her in that he'd gone so long without human contact. She could have taken his reaction to seeing her as him maybe being mad.

Then again the way she was hiding from him was weird. Her priority meeting up with more people. It was protecting her brother.

Yes, this is a very good point. Also -- in the later scene (out of the city) she and that medical-student guy knew all about him, and the inference I drew is that they knew about his background for a long time. If so, then she would have told him the first time, "Thank goodness I found you. We have been wanting you to help us with an antidote." (I don't think there is anything in the movie that would have educated her as to who he was based solely on their first encounter and chase.) And yes the rescue scene was very clumsy. They were just fortunate to even get out of there.
