TCMT-Ghost Director: SERGIO LEONE Credited Director: Enzo Barboni
I remember reading in a book about Spaghetti Westerns that I was looking to buy at Larry Edmunds back in the early 80s...I remember a chapter in it which discussed the two(2) Trinity films, and it openly stated that Sergio Leone was the ghost director of THEY CALL ME TRINITY (1970). This picture was filmed and released in the same year: 1970; originally released in December 1970. As I have watched this film countless times since the early 70s, I have come to the conclusion that it was indeed really directed by Sergio Leone. The sequel was directed by Enzo Barboni (E. B. Clucher). There is a marked difference in the two films in their directorial styles. This is unmistakable. In all the films Hill & Spencer teamed up--both Western and non-Western, TCMT stands far out from all the rest.
Any thoughts on this (?)
