Towards the end Goulds character is taking photos of his favorite subject, s**t, suddenly he's ut of his stupor and starts taking photos of regular subjects, people, things, then hes walking towards the train station (I think) he sees a man with a moustache, then he arrives at the apartment with his gun and the shooting spree starts..who was the man with the moustache?

That wasn't a train station, it was the pergola behind the Bandshell in Central Park.
The guy with the moustache? IDK, probably a molester.
