Everywhere I see this film described as a semi-documentary. That was not the intention at all, there just was no script, McQueen (godlovehim) was in charge & had no idea what to do.
I still love it though :)
You're right. But if any love stories had been elaborated further, we probably would have complained about that too, so...
Pedal to the metal and long stares... That's my brief summary of the film. But also a visual and audio masterpiece! Great stuff.
A script was in the works but McQueen started filming before it was done. They knew how the race was going to end in the movie so why wait.
