'There has been an accident!'

I was 8 when Le Mans came out, and I've watched it about 327 times since then.

What always gets me is how the track announcer reports the two separate crashes of Claude Aurac and Michael Delaney as one accident involving the two cars.

I always imagine, when we see Lisa Belgetti's stunned reaction to the news, what's going through her mind:
"What is it with that Delaney guy?! First my husband, NOW my boyfriend? Why can't he just leave my men alone?"

Aurac clearly wasnt her BF. he had a crush on her but Lisa rejected his offer. she was clearly in love with Delaney, but she couldnt admit it to herself until the end of the movie.
