James C. Udel has written a great book, "The Film Crews of Hollywood" (McFarland, 2014). Udel includes a chapter on Gaylin Schultz, a Hollywood key grip, who is only credited in this movie for "camera mounts". Schultz mounted many motion picture cameras on the racing cars permitting filming. Those cameras and mounts could not interfere with the aerodynamics of the cars and had to withstand the stresses of high speed driving.
Without Schultz, this movie could never have been made.
