Its ridiculous to compare Grand Prix and Le Mans

Grand Prix (IMO) is a better movie, as in i think it appeals to a wider audiance with its storyline and melodrama

Le Mans should be viewed almost as a documentary, and not as a "movie" in regular way. There is no better footage of classic motor racing than whats in Le Mans. McQueen definately got it right for car nuts.

Once i figured out, it made my most recent viewing way more enjoyable. Really was blown away.

Thank god someone got it. One is a movie with some car racing, the other is a race with some acting in it. I love both for those different reasons.

Totally agree, unlike these moronic NFS fanboys

...but unfortunately the same should be said for idiotic Need For Speed fanboys who compare their favourite film to The Fast and The Furious series. So I tell them to compare NFS to other car films including these two - therefore they will know what a fair comparison is.

A point in common they have :

The heart beats that sound during the race start in both films ,but while
in "Grand Prix" had low level, in "Le Mans" film comes to heart attack level !
