Can not say enough about what Jane Fonda does in this film. Incredible characterisation - so detailed. Her scenes with the shrink is some of the best acting ever put on film and the final scene...Truly one of the great American actresses.

I think I have to agree. And I say this as someone who dislikes her personally. Who wouldn't want her autograph, and probably wouldn't even shake hands with her, if I met her in person. But her acting performance in this was outstanding.

Absolutely! She does so much with this role it's unbelievable! I remember thinking the first time I saw it about 10 years ago, that there was nothing special about it. But with each viewing you get so many layers peeled off that's almost unimaginable anyone else ever doing it then or today! And this is from someone who doesn't like Jane as a person much. But boy, what a talented actress!
