I recently got the German (New Entertainment) DVD from Xploited Cinema. I was able to start watching it the other day (my remote was misplaced and my German isn't too hot). I will admit that the picture quality is not pristine, but with such an obscure film, there's not much point in complaining. School is rather hectic now, so I haven't had the chance to finish it. The main complaint I have with this release is that the (English) soundtrack seems to have been remixed. I have a couple of German DVDs of older films that have newly mixed 5.1 tracks, but the English is usually mono (as I think it is here). In the opening murder sequence (acid-to-the-face and throat slashing) the "gurgling blood" and "acid damage" sounds seem to be very exaggerated and unrealistic. I can't imagine it having sounded like that theatrically in 1971.
