i think someone at the imdb needs to do their homework! there is no way on earth this film was made in 1971. sly stallone made rocky in 1976 and he looks far older in this film and as for mickey rourke - he doesn't even look human!
"are you speaking to me?" - travis bickle (taxi driver)
I think YOU need to do your homework on two counts. 1. The original Get Carter was released in 1971, starring Michael Caine. It was remade in 2000 with Stallone. 2. Your tagline "are you speaking to me?" is incorrect. It should be, "Are you TALKing to me?". Everyone knows that. Unless you're referring to some obscure line in the movie that nobody remembers.
hi mcsquare, i think YOU need to do your homework on two counts. 1. i was referring to "bickle: taxi driver part II" - the sequel to taxi driver, in which the protagonist, travis bickle, undergoes an extensive course in elocution which results in a marked improvement in his diction. "are you speaking to me?" is a question he continually asks himself before trying to gun down the then prime minister of england, john major. it's not a well known film - in fact, i believe i'm one of the only people who has seen it. 2. "get carter" was a very poor film starring sylvester stallone. michael caine only played a secondary role. who knows, perhaps if michael caine can make a name for himself in the business, maybe he will be able to remake it. and perhaps film it in newcastle.

Ha ha ha, barabbas is the man. As soon as I've seen his post I knew that next messages will be offences on his account, but he answered on them brilliantly.
