French Loved This, The French Title Was "The French Connection"

They kept the English title for the French release and the French thought it very cool.

Of course, we, in America, sometimes call French films by their original names, like DIABOLIQUE and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES.

What can I say? Vive la difference!

Les Diaboliques was also released in some places as 'The Devils' which didn't sound nearly as sinister! One of my favorite movies is 'The French Can-Can' by Renoir which is the actual title in France. I'm sure there are many more examples.
