Tevye's Daughter + Lazar = Traif (unkosher)

Did anyone else catch up on the symbolic reason that Tzeitel should not have been matched with Lazar by Yente?

One of the key rules of Kashrut is that dairy and meat are not to be mixed. By having the milkman's daughter marry the butcher, it would be an almost symbolic mixing of milk and meat, a very non kosher mix.

Wow!!! What incredible symbolism. I never thought about that!!!

Mind you, I'm not Jewish(I suppose my quote at the bottom of the screen gives that away), however, I am aware of some Jewish traditions, including not drinking milk when eating meat.

Wow. I never even thought about that. That's brilliant! I wonder if the writers played it out that way intentionally, or if that was just was just a coincidence.

Why did I write? Because I found life unsatisfactory.
