Singing voice all wrong.
Shirley Jones was a very poor choice to sing for Hayley Mills. Hearing her speaking voice she would never have that deep, powerful singing voice. The scene where she sings is jarring.
I agree. The voice did not fit Hayley. At first I thought she was supposed to be singing along to a record.
