I wonder if that guy quit his day job to pursue his beatings-for-hire career

Charging people money, big money no less ($200 in 1971 translates to about $1,600 today) to beat them up has got to be the most niche occupation ever. Not counting Scorpio, I'd estimate the demand for his "services" to be approximately nil. Even if there were some other nutjobs in his area looking for such a service, how hard would it be to find someone who would do it for free? He could probably find plenty of volunteers at a local boxing gym for example.

If his beatings-for-hire career doesn't take off he could try pursuing some other promising career paths, like being a pinsetter, knocker-upper, or milkman.
