Why did Scorpio decide to let the girl die anyway?
I mean he had the money. In what way would it benefit him to let the girl suffocate to death?

shareI think the movie does a pretty good job of getting the message across that Scorpio is a complete psychopath and just frankly couldn't care one way or the other.
shareOf course. But in what way would it benefit him to let the girl suffocate to death? In what way would this benefit him?
shareThat's the point. It wouldn't benefit him at all...and he doesn't care.
We don't know whether she saw his face or not, though by this time Harry knows who he is and what he looks like.
And how would she have oxygen until a certain time and then suffocate? I just don't get that.
shareMay be that was the case that she had a certain amount of air to breathe.
We don't really know the full details.
Once the tooth arrives in the box with the bra and lock of hair, Harry is convinced she is already dead and therefore that Scorpio was never that interested in keeping her alive any way.
This, imho,

Some men cannot be reasoned with, they just want to watch the world burn.
Wayne Enterprises buys and sells companies like Stark Industries
Some men cannot be reasoned with,
He was a sadistic killer, He got off on the suffering of others. That is why he let her die....he never intended to let her live in the first place.
shareActually, there's a scene where Bressler states that the girl was dead prior to the appointed money drop off time. Scorpio already had the thrill of killing her; he then wanted to get away with the cash. Pretty simple, really.
