The original Harry is retired, his nephew and namesake (played by Jackman) is an inspector with SFPD but narco not homicide. A serial killer called Gemini is killing
and is leaving notes like the original Scorpio killer. As the killings continue the killer demands Inspector Callahan, mistakenly SFPD thinks he wants Jackman not the original Harry. After more murders Jackman brings in retired Harry and the two bond as they investigate the case. The twist is the killer is actually twins (Gemini) sons of the Scorpio killer. In the end original Harry is killed but not before he passes on his .44 and his un-PC way of policing onto new Harry.
