Dirty Harry on the big screen

Long story short, a theatre in downtown Vancouver BC plays movies that people vote for. After a bunch of petitioning, its an option to vote for.

Please vote Dirty Harry so I can watch my favourite movie on the big screen

I hope you get your wish. I first saw this movie at the theater as an eight year-old, and my memories of that experience are pretty vivid, but I wasn't old enough to truly understand or enjoy the big screen experience.

In 1984, I took a film appreciation class in college and was immensely happy to get to see the movie on a big screen again. It was only a 16mm print, but the movie was shown in a full screen format. That is really the only way to watch Dirty Harry, for a lot of reasons--the great cinematography chief among them. It was a lot of fun watching the movie with a bunch of college kids who had never seen it before, as well.

My local Cinemark theater has been showing a good number of classic films lately. I'll have to write them and ask that they put this one on their list.

Saw it on the big screen in a DIRTY HARRY/MAGNUM FORCE double feature.

My dad took me. I was twelve.

It was the most glorious experience of my young life.

Of course, the following year he abandoned the family,

but FO$% HIM, at least I got to see a cool double feature ;)

Speaking of CINEMARK, the local Rave motion picture theater is

running DIRTY HARRY on the big screen in their classic movie series.

Even though I must have seen this thing twenty times,

I'm absolutely gonna try to check it out again.

Ha! Me too! I remember him showing me the movie ad section of the paper, and it had Clint aiming the .44 and the caption was "Double Trouble." I was about the same age, too. Great day at the flicks!

A movie like Dirty Harry is best played on a great big, wide movie theatre screen, in a real movie theatre, with the lights down low.

With a really good sound system to do the score justice...
