Subway thug
Did anyone realize it was Stallone when they first saw it?
shareI noticed him right away, before I even realized Sly Stallone was in this. Honest!
shareIn my case I saw the Bananas years after ROCKY came out.
You know Sty did a soft core porn early in his career?

Yes, "Party and Kitty and Studs." Can't say I caught that one.
shareDon't you mean CAN'T say you caught that one?
It was later retitled Italian Stallion, guess why? I never saw it either.

Whoops! "Can't" indeed. Just a typo – not a Freudian slip.
I remember that film was rather notorious when it resurfaced after "Rocky" came out. A lot of '70s skin magazines printed excerpts from it, and it was rereleased in certain neighborhood theaters. It seems like more of a curio, just like Madonna's "A Certain Sacrifice," which I bought on VHS years ago but still haven't watched. (I don't think that one is really considered porn anyway, but the star doesn't interest me.)
Recognized him instantly, was pleasantly surprised.

I was surprised to see Stallone as the subway thug, then I remembered he wasn't famous yet in 1971.
shareYou should catch death wish for an early Jeff Goldbloom and Christopher Guest roles.
shareI could smell him a mile away.
"facts are stupid things" Ronald Reagan
yah Stallone was hilarious as the subway thug/mugger!
shareI recognized him though he does look a lot more babyfaced than what everyone is used to.
