James Franciscus interviews

I've read that James Franciscus was (in)famous for avoiding interviews, but IMDb nevertheless lists him as appearing as himself on 21 different shows (some of them on several occasions). Do any of you know where any of these appearances might currently be available?

The only "as himself" video I've seen is an interview on YouTube, apparently from the early 80s (among other things, he discusses his 1981 TV movie Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy). I have no idea who the interviewer is, where/whether this was broadcast, etc. My best guess is that it may have been connected with the charity tennis tournament that he founded.

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19eHqT9yE3s

If you know of any other interviews, talk-show appearances, etc., that are currently available anywhere, please let us know about them!

This web page includes numerous quotes from Jame Franciscus in a short (few pages) print biography excerpted from "a 1964 Motion Picture Magazine article ... by Claire Harris ...." There are also several quotes from Franciscus regarding Longstreet that must have come from some later interview.

Thanks for posting that, Carol. James Franciscus was always an underrated actor & deserves to be better known.

Amen, Owlwise! We do seem to be seeing some renewed interest in his career, though, now that several of his series and movies are available on DVD.
