Boy the way Glenn Miller played

Songs that made the Hit Parade
Guys like us we had it made
Those were the days

And you knew who you werrrrre thennnnn
Girls were girls and men were men
Mister we could use a man
Like Herbert Hoover again

Didn't need no welfare state
Everybody pulled his weight
Gee our old LaSalle ran great
Those were the daysssssss

The Miller orchestra was considered somewhat square in its time. The Benny Goodman band really swung. But Archie and Edith were probably more into dancing when they were young, so preferred bands like Miller and Lombardo.

There's even an episode where Edith wants Archie to dance with her, so she puts on a record of Miller's "Moonlight Serenade."

A pretty tune. Unfortunately, mainstream popular music today includes few, if any pure instrumentals.

A computer is an instrument. :)

I've heard that song 100 times and I never knew the line

Gee our old LaSalle ran great

I never even tried to figure it out.

A shame what happened to him. To this day, he has never been found. *shivers*
