What kind of car did Oliver drive? Make, Model and Year?

In the book it was an Aston-Martin DBS, something like that.

It's a MG, T-type, more specifically the TC model produced from 1945-1950.

One of the most popular years for the TC was the 49. Oliver's could be that year. There were a flood of them post-war. Very popular despite lack of power. The next model - the TD, was even more popular.

Oliver's dad drives and E type Jaguar.
