Someone should make a good Crazy Horse movie

His story is rather amazing. He wasn't born a chief but earned a large following through his courage, skill, planning, concern for the common people and commitment to traditional Sioux way of life.

He had a vision in his teens that he could never be harmed in battle if he dressed simply and declined all honors and shared the spoils of victory with those in need, keeping only enough to support himself as a warrior. In the vision he was warned to take no scalps as trophies, and the only time he did in a battle he got wounded afterward, and never did again.

When the buffalo were gone and after he had defeated Custer, he finally agreed to come in to the reservation to save the thousands of people who were following him. But he was still viewed as a threat and a possible messianic resistance leader, and the government was rumored to be planning to remove him to a military prison in the East. He was killed trying to escape.
