Missing Details

Does anybody think that any of the extra scenes in the original novel of "Little Big Man" that weren't in the movie should have been included?
Some examples include:

Jack Crabb's early years before his family moved west and the other members of his family.

The Pendrakes having two black servants, Lucy and Lavender. The latter of which Jack befriends and later encounters in the days leading up to the Little Big Horn.

Jack and Olga having a son named Gus who also gets adopted into the Cheyenne tribe after Olga is taken captive.

Jack Crabb as a miner in Denver in 1859 and a Buffalo hunter in the early 1870's (where he encounters a young Wyatt Earp)
