The Return of Little Big Man

Does anybody think that the sequel to Little Big Man should be made into a movie? If so, who do you think could play Jack Crabb? Any thoughts?

reply

I haven't read the second book but I would love to see it as a movie if it was done as well as "Little Big Man"

How old is Jack Crabbe in the sequel?

Maybe Johnny Depp could play him.

As far as I know the sequel takes place where the original left off, so I would assume he is still the same age (whether it be 111 as in the book or 121 in the movie). Hope this helps.

Is the Return Of The Little Big Man a good read??? Just wondering.

I think Dustin Hoffman could return and play the same character.

He's definitely still got it :)

The sequel is not as good as the orginal, and kind of even spoils the orginal.

The second Litle Big Man did the same thing as the Forrest Gump sequel- which is take an already complete story and add more crazy historical situations to the main character.

In Return... Jack claims he faked his death and wanted to tell more stories of what happened since the end of the first novel. Basically the author just found more historical events and characters, and put Jack in there somewhere as best he could.

You could tell it was an attempt to just rehash what worked last time, and it doesn't help the Jack Crabb saga at all by existing.

That's my take.

Electronic-medium-based arguments will likely end in impasse

I've been whining about a sequel since The Return Of Little Big Man came out. I don't know if Hoffman would do it, since the makeup sessions for old Jack Crabbe were torturous. I'd also love to see a special edition release, if we were lucky enough for there to be sweepings from the cutting room floor

be careful what your saying. Some Hollywood author could read this and pull out his check book to waste a "few" million dollars... haha
