Do you think that Forrest Gump stole the concept of Little Big Man?

Granted it's nearly a year and a half later but I agree. The way Forrest made his way into important events in history is a direct ripoff of LBM.

Anything Hollywood has done only a few times is the closest thing to an original idea.

Penn made quite a few movies using this device, such as "Four Friends", etc. But I don't think he 'invented' it.

I'd only seen bits and pieces of this film and I saw it in its entirety today. What I'd seen was so sad, but watching the funny bits made me realize again how much of an artist Dustin Hoffman truly is. In the scene when he sees Louise again, he spoke with a voice that sounded like Tootsie's.
