My question is: What's the matter with John in that picture? He just looks so sad! (Also, don't forget to click on one of those pictures and see it full-sized)

I don't think he looks sad, it looks more like he is reading something.

Yes, I agree, it isn't a sad expression, more of a pensive one, suggesting he is reading something or reflecting on something ("johnthinking????")
