how bad is it?ok i'm not 14 and i'm not taking my little nephew to see it.i'm only asking because i want to get this movie as a present for my dad,a film fanatic, but he has some objections to sex and nudity in films.i myself find it distracting but he doesn't even like to own movies with it.unless it's kinda tame.
The film features some strong sensuality and one "implied" anal lesbian sex. There is some brief nudity as well. But it's not really graphic or explicit. It's just provocative, which is always a good thing.
I hope your dad will like this film. It's awesome!
well jeez dude it's true.i know what he was trying to say.ohhh nudity is so taboo but kids grow up watching violence blah.blah. uh,yeah.i'll admit,i love violence in movies.it's entertaining.who doesn't? the fact of the matter is,there's a big difference between entertainment from violence and sex.violence is entertaining maybe because seeing someone's head blown off is something i'll never witness in real life, who knows.but sex is so distracting.it totally takes me out of the movie.if a pretty girl gets naked...well,i'm not thinking about her saving enough money to save the orphanage or whatever.sex goes far beyond entertainment.it's natural, but so is taking a dump.i wouldn't feel any more comfortable sitting next to my parents while watching a sex scene than i would someone taking a fat,graphic,dia-dump.would you?
its more implied than anything else (like the scene on the train). there is a scene of "frontal female nudity" in the dance studio, but i wouldnt consider it objectionable. i can understand the concern tho, this being a bertolucci film
