No, you're not wrong. I read an interview by Lee where he clearly states that from all the Dracula fims he made, this is his favorite one, for it was the only time he had the chance to play the Count as Stoker described him in the book. His second favorite was the first he ever made, in 1958: Horror of Dracula (or Dracula, as it is known internationaly).
