Comedies are pain to watch if they don't work...
.. and this didn't work, for me at least. Couldn't finish it.
shareI'm watching this right now and I agree. It's hard to sit through. It reminds me of the type of Tom Hanks or Adam Sandler comedies that were popular merely because the main character just yelled a lot. Yelling a lot isn't funny. I like Alan Arkin a lot, as well as many other actors in this movie, but I'm 32 minutes in to this and I keep trying to decide if I want to give it a chance anymore.
