RIP AL Molinaro aka Murray the Cop

He may have been more well-known for playing "Al" on Happy Days, but I will never forget the scenes when he'd show up at their door and they'd open up the peephole to see who it was and his nose would be sticking through. He was extremely funny, especially when Oscar wouldn't take him seriously as a cop. - RIP Al.

I also loved the episodes when they'd play cards - "Speed" the degenerate gambler was great too, but I can't remember who else was in those games? Speed, Oscar, and Murray I recall, but was it also Roy, Vinnie and any others?

You will always be Murray the Cop to me. The best line about your famous nose was said by Oscar: "I'd break his nose but I only have 2 hands!"

Wikipedia has a quote from him:

"I can’t work in movies with Garry because I’m so square that I won’t be in a movie that has four-letter words in it. . . . That puts me pretty much totally out of films these days. . . . You get to a point where you don’t want to do just anything for the career. You gotta live with yourself".

How refreshing to see someone in hollywood forgo the dollar for his convictions.
