Does this mean that Murray is Oscar's stepfather?
Maybe more than one actress played Murray's wife. The fifth episode of the series is called The Break Up and in that one, Alice Ghostly's playing Murray's wife. It's very possible that when they needed Murray's wife again, Alice Ghostly wasn't available so they brought in Jane Dulo.
We'll always remember Jane Dulo as "the lady in the window" on Sha Na Na.
Which makes me think of something I noticed the other night, while watching Season 3. Jane Dulo was Mrs Madison and Mimi, but then Elvia Allman played Oscar's mom in a later episode (The Odyssey Couple) and there was a reference to her being at the courthouse for Blanche and Oscar's divorce. Weeks earlier, she was totally unaware of it, now they have her there that day?
I know it's 40 years after the fact, but...guys, check your earlier scripts.
