Brian Griese exits ESPN's Monday Night Football booth to join the San Francisco 49ers

Griese, an MNF analyst whose contract was up, is leaving amid a report that Fox Sports' Troy Aikman is joining the MNF booth. Griese, Steve Levy and Louis Riddick were part of a revamp of the MNF booth in 2020. Griese will become the 49ers' quarterbacks coach. Griese has been with ESPN since 2009, joining as an analyst for college football games.
