The Million Dollar Roundup (SPOILER ALERT)

So,,,,,, very near the end, the little kid is up in his loft. He puts the horse in the shine box. Climbs down, the cop gets shot by the bad guy. The kid runs,,, the bad guy on his heels,, McCloud follows. On the street, the kid is hiding, the bad guy gets the drop on McCloud. The kid comes out, opens the box, tosses the stolen gun to McCloud, the bad guy dies. The horse ends up under clay in the studio.

I guess the gun could have been in the shine box all along,,, but,,, if this was a bang, bang chase scene,, where did the kid find the time to go into the studio and do the clay thing?? And the studio was unlocked, with no one inside while he was doing his thing. And he chose NOT to hide there?

Most movies have a few flaws, and I usually overlook them,, after all it's just a movie,, but this was just soooo blatantly obvious that I can't believe it made it into the final product. Really, really bad...
