Lisa wisely left acting before it could destroy her as it did to so many child actors.
She currently lives with her husband of 16 years, John Rusten, and their son in orthern California (info from Wiki).
Great to hear Lisa Gerritsen is doing well. I loved her as Bess and just yesterday watched for the millionth time her tour de force, "Bess, You Is My Daughter Now." When she walks in wearing Phyllis' wig and make-up on I crack up every time as if seeing it for the first time.
She was also wonderful in an early ODD COUPLE playing Bunny. I wish Shout Factory or someone akin to them would release on DVD her 1969-70 series MY WORLD AND WELCOME TO IT.
I adored Lisa when I was a kid (we are about the same age), and loved My World and Welcome to It. Wish that show was out there somewhere too.
