Quote from, 'The Critic'

The Critic (1977)

Murray Slaughter: Professor, I'm Murray Slaughter. I've enjoyed your writing.

Karl Heller: Thank you, thank you. I wish you hadn't. What we enjoy, we forget. What irritates, stays with us.

Murray Slaughter: That reminds me, do you know Ted Baxter?

TED: Hey- did you see the big spread (there was large article on her in the newspaper) on Sue Ann?
MURRAY: Yeah- but you don't notice it too much when she sits down.

From the final episode:

Murray: That was a terrific speech you made up there, Ted.

Ted: Think so, Murray? Gee, I thought you'd be mad because I didn't quit too.

Murray: No, that's okay, Ted. When a donkey flies, you don't blame him for not staying up that long.
