Gayle King and Oprah tried to make it all about themselves. Boo Hoo, Oprah is sad. I had to turn them off.

shareJust watched it on DVR. Poorly edited and conceived. Others have called it a rush job and I think that shows. The quality of the prints on some episodes was abysmal. My DVD'S from a decade ago looked better than some of the clips used. And I find self-styled guru Oprah highly irritating even though I know she's a Mary superfan. I could care less how she established her questionable "empire" from the inspiration she got watching Mary Saturday nights back in the 70's. The tribute special was also highly repetitious: how many times do we have to keep hearing that MTM was a "feminist icon"?
shareToo much Oprah!! I tuned in to see Mary, and had to endure Oprah re-creating the opening of the MTM show? Putting pads under her arms to absorb the sweat from meeting Mary? UGH!! Very disappointing.
