An idea for a new spinoff

I'd like to see a new series set at WJM-TV, set about 40 years after the end of Moore's series. It would feature a mainly new cast of characters, and would feature the children of Ted and Georgette as adults working for the station. Ted Baxter would be mentioned in the pilot as having died in the 1980s.

I'd call the series Love Is All Around after the original series' theme song, which would have a cover version performed for this show.

I'd like this show to air on Fox since they would be producing it as well being the owners of the MTM library; I also want a contemporary remake of WKRP in Cincinnati on Fox (since the original WKRP was very well-suited for Fox had it existed in that time).

It's an interesting idea as long as the cover version of the theme song doesn't have a hip-hop or dance-pop arrangement. Then I'll smash my skull into the glass of the tv set.

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

It won't work; that show was magic. It can't be re-created. PLus, most shows today are all about sex and sex innuendo and just don't have really good creative writing any more

How about Murray's granddaughter runs the station and Bess's daughter works there too! The theme song will have more of a Taylor Swift feel to it. Oh- and there are zombies all over Minneapolis as well! Oh- and it's animated (a cartoon). That will help keep the integrity of the original show as well. Lets DO it!

"In every dimension , there's another YOU!"

Throw in a magic talking mynah bird named Merlin and I'm there

With Mary Tyler Moore's death today, I think this spin-off would be a fitting tribute to her.
