Here's one thing about the Josie and the Pussycats cartoon that I have never been able to understand, even after 38 years: What was the reasoning behind Alexander having dark glasses? He does not have these in the comic books. Does anybody out there have an idea on the purpose of this?
Alexander was the manager and in show business the stereotype, back in the swinging 60s/70s was that show business people always wore sunglasses. If you watch a lot of Hanna-Barabara you see that they fell back on a lot of stereotypes. Keep an eye out for other H-B shows when a cartoon producer/director, etc shows up. As often as not they'll be wearing one of the following: sunglasses, a baret, riding pants tucked into boots, etc.
