the degenerates? where did that title come from?

I noticed on Netflix they have this film listed with the subtitle "The Degenerates", I see it listed here on the IMDb AKAs as "undefined" where it came from. Does anyone know who came up with calling it "The Degenerates", a distributor maybe? I think it's a really misleading and puritanical way to sum up this film.

I knew about the other film, but "The Degenerates" just does not seem like a title Fellini would have chosen or approved of, sounds more like a title a Vatican flunky would have come up with. I have read Italian distributors often re-name movies for their own lunkheaded reasons i.e. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was marketed as "If You Leave Me I Erase You".
