Fellinis Batman
Imagine how insane it would have been if Fellini had directed a Batman movie. Batman the psychedelic, demented dark knight. One can only wish.

I don't think the Batman character was Fellini's cup of tea really - it was another comic he wanted to adapt: Mandrake. The "Mandrake" film is one of his many projects he never got round to realizing; all that's left of this idea is Marcello Mastroianni's costume in "Intervista": Marcello appears on Fellini's set dressed as Mandrake, pretending he was just passing by from another set where "Mandrake" was actually being filmed.

EDIT: I only just noticed that Marcello in the Mandrake costume is on the cover of the American DVD, you can see it on the board of "Intervista".
Batman would be naked the entire time and cause criminals to float out of their getaway cars in traffic!
