It's hard to believe that the old codger in "Fargo" is the same guy singing "They call the wind Mariah" in this movie. His voice is so raspy now!
An interesting tidbit is that Presnell did very few movies or appearances in between "Paint your wagon" (1969) and "Fargo" (1996).
But oh, what a handsome man with such a great voice he was. Loved him in Unsinkable Molly Brown. It's unfortunate that his incredible voice came along just about the time the big movie musicals were dying out. What a talent! Debbie REynolds, who starred with him in Unsinkable Molly Brown, gave him a job when she toured the country with Annie Get Your Gun.
