Therefore, this movie is not really dated. If anything, it is more advanced than anything that has happened since 1969. The flying porta potty doesn't impress most people. Ever hear anyone talk about it?

As far as manned space travel goes, you're right. But we know enough astronomy and from the unmanned probes to realize that there cannot be another planet opposite the Earth.

Robots are nearly perfect and therefore boring. However, robots that look like Pamela Anderson are in the works!
