If infact everything is reveresed including the written language, clearly astronaut Glenn Ross should not have been able to understand the people of the mirror-Earth as they should have been speaking English in REVERSE!

Actually, the astronaut explained quite simply how the 2nd earth was different from his own by taking Jason Webb to the mirror.
This "mirror" earth was exactly like our planet, except that everything was presented as if they were reflections of a mirror.
When you stand in front of a mirror and move your right hand for a handshake, you see yourself moving his left hand towards you. Obviously, speech doesn't change in a mirror.
