Broadway Revival

Would anyone else love to see this musical revived on broadway? With the songs they added to the movie with Barbara Streisand? I'm not talking about a film remake because I think this one is fine as it is and remakes tend to ruin the originals for me. Also, I think Bernadette Peters would make a great Dolly! Thoughts?

That would be a nice idea. I'm not particularly fond of this wave of "pop" musicals which have surfaced in the last nine years or so, and I'm always happy to see a revival of a classic show.

And as for Bernadette Peters, that sounds like a great idea. She's about aged enough, and her voice has reached a point of maturity, that she would make a great Dolly. A new "Hello, Dolly!" recording, and one featuring Ms. Peters at that, would be nice.

She'd be a good choice. Incidentally, today I was thinking that Patti LuPone would be a good choice (thus continuing her association with "Ethel Merman" roles).
