The Train Station at the beginning

I doubt that was a made studio set. I know that the street side was built on the Fox backlot, and I am pretty sure that the interior was on stage 24, which btw has been torn down to build a parking ramp. But I am wondering about the track side set. I am sure it is a real station. The actual train is located on the East Coast so I am guessing so was the station. If anyone knows that would be appreciated.

The "Yonkers" train station is real and is in Garrison, NY on the Hudson River about an hour north of New York City. Horace's store is there too. You can see the river in the backround. The final scene with the wedding was filmed just across the river at West Point. The chapel was a set.

I was aware of the "Yonkers" station being the one in Garrison. I was asking about the station used in the NYC scene, where she is singing "Just Leaving Everything to Me"

I just didn't think they could get a train that big and tracks on the Fox lot. I understand that street entrance and the station interior could fit inside a soundstage and on the backlot.

Studio set of Grand Central Station. The stairs were a good copy but the ticket windows are a throwback to the 1890s.

The train station where Streisand sings the end of "Just Leave Everything to Me" as the train is taking off is the Poughkeepsie Train Station in upstate New York - it's still there and you can see the bridge in the back that connects Poughkeepsie with Highland/New Platz. I used to take the train into NYC once in a while and after that stop you would come to the Garrison stop where they filmed "Put on Your Sunday Clothes" - It's all still there as of 2010
