Top Ten Musicals
Pretty standard. Your top ten musicals, and your favorite song from each one. Not counting anything cartoon or Disney, since a lot of those are musicals virtually by definition. But from stage or film, your top ten.
If you can't come up with ten that's fine. I'm just a musical/soundtrack freak so I guess I went a little overboard. Sorry. -_-;
For me, in no particular order:
1. Hello Dolly! --- "Before the Parade Passes By"
2. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers --- "Sobbin' Women"
3. (Stage)The Phantom of the Opera --- "Music of the Night"
4. Grease --- "Greased Lightnin'"
5. Chicago --- "Cell Block Tango"
6. The Sound of Music --- "Maria" (How do you solve a problem like Maria)
7. The Music Man --- "Marian The Librarian"
8. State Fair --- "It's A Grand Night for Singing"
9. Annie --- "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile"
10. The King and I --- "Getting to Know You"
11. Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella --- "Stepsisters' Lament"
12. (Film)Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street --- "A Little Priest"
13. Wicked --- "Defying Gravity"
14. Singin' in the Rain --- "Good Mornin'"
15. The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas --- "I Will Always Love You" (FORGET the W.H. version)
"Anything you say can, and will be used against you."
