Echelon Conspiracy, Eagle Eye, + Colossus: The Forbin Project.

I'm putting this in three groups: Echelon Conspiracy (2009), Eagle Eye (2008) and Colossus: The Forbin Project (1970).

Are the two new ones a remake of the old one? (Or at least inspired by it?)

As I understand it, Echelon and Eagle went into production about the same time. Interesting they are so similar, but apparently independently arrived at. (There's another thread for that discussion.) Here I'm just curious who thinks there's a relation between Forbin and Echelon/Eagle.

Eagle Eye is not fit to lick Colossus' boots. The sheer stupidity of the plot, the incredibly infantile inability to grasp basic laws of physics, the moronic manipulation of a veritable mountain of coincidences, and so much else makes Eagle Eye unworthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Colossus: The Forbin Project.

Colossus makes you think. Eagle Eye is the equivalent of brain freeze.
