What are 'finite absolutes'?
At one point, Forbin says, "This is way beyond me...it is deep into Finite Absolutes."
Can someone explain what they are - but just in one sentence, please!
Thanks,
Paul.

"A finite absolute is a fact so clearly defined, tested,
and stated as to be beyond further need for preparation; a statement
of fact so complete as to be virtually absolute--although due to the
nature of man’s mechanisms, still finite."
I'll let the mathematics folks who peruse these boards translate that within the context of their discipline.
After searching for an answer to this question myself, I've come to believe there is no definitive mathematical answer. I don't really know, however; I'm not a mathematician.
I've always liked to think that what Forbin was referring to in his pre-chaos-mathematical way was fractal mathematics.
