Remake...with Will Smith!?! Colosus please destroy us b4 this happens!!

I would love to see this movie remade...(A sequel whould be even better...I can dream can't I)

However, I am sure Hollywood would screw it up...just like I,Robot, I am Legend, etc.

They put Will Smith in it and give it a happy ending

reply

If they put the corny Will Smith in it......well forget it.

A remake of this flick would be intriguing, now that computers have come so far, and become part of our everyday life, since the original Colossus was made. I think it would be wild if Eric Braeden reprised his role.

reply

Anymore it would probably be more along the lines of movies like the echelon conspiracy or terminator where, overly simplified, it is basically a virus/worm originally.

reply

I like Will Smith, but the role of Dr. Forbin seems too similar to things he has already done, "Enemy of The State", "I am Legend", "I, Robot", and so on.

Give someone else a chance.

reply

If ever there was a remake I always pictured George Clooney as Forbin. Any thoughts?

reply

I like that idea. He would fit the look

reply

A sequel would make more sense. The film established a lot that it could work off of.

reply

Remake fever. Have we become the copycats and the Asians the cutting-edge thinkers? Sure seems that way!

To quote the ending of a great film: "NEVER!"

On the IMDb, nobody knows you're a (I said nobody knows!).

Patrick Stewart as Forbin
George Clooney as the President
Kim Cattrall as Cleo

reply

Ma-Ma-Ma-Matt Frewer would be excellent.

reply

Colossus with a sense of humour... terrifying!

The restitution of life is no great feat. A variety of deaths may well enter into your punishment

Matt Frewer did his Colossus in Lawnmower Man 2, he played a mad simpleton-turned-megamind quite well. Good choice, but been done.

The movie Eagle Eye starring Shy Like Beef is something of a modern Forbin Project. I'm not sure this is still gonna happen though, it's been 7 years, I think Will smith is waiting to get one of his kids to play Forbin now, since he let's them ruin movies themselves now.

You don't know sh!t, Jon Snow!
